In Wisconsin

I am reminded of how little value relatives of mine place on braodband. In the last week, I have had to tolerate slow bandwidth, so slow that I took my laptop and downloaded my emails from the parking lot of a Burger King. Yeash. I can’t help but admit that the visiting has been nothing but joyous. We have reunited with friends and family for these past 8 days. I have some great pictures that I can’t wait to post–but I’m holding out for some broadband. Maybe I’ll make a trip to Burger King.

God has been very good to us in Wisconsin. Wendy’s brother, Tod, is a master mechanic who helped me do a number of things to the bus (or, better defined, I helped him). We replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, fixed a problem with the battery system and changed the oil. That, really, is the easy news. The BIG news is that Wendy’s mom has been a recovered alcoholic for just over a year now. Mary Ann is a whole new person. We have been enjoying her company (she lives with Tod now) for two days and have gotten into great conversations. Over dinner she shared with us that she loves the Lord and is full of the Holy Spirit as she recovers from a life of alcoholism. Wow!

More later…I need to help with breakfast.
