About Chris & Wendy Jeub

The Jeub Family live in Monument, Colorado. They encourage couples to love God and love one another, building an atmosphere of love in their homes.

The whole show was nice, as it was last time, along with the one about ya’ll Jeubs and the Arndts too. It gives us a vicarious glimpse (for some of us, a roadmap!!) into the lives of large families.

For us, the show about the Heppners was awesome because of their sense of humor, all the wisecracking, the down to earth and sensible approach to things, and the obviousness of the love in the family.

    Good show!

(PS…just found out I am pregnant…heh heh heh, we’ll catch up eventually :))

Well, I loved all of it so I don’t think it’s fair to make me choose ONE favorite part. I’ve recorded it, just in case TLC doesn’t show it again. I want these shows as a “resource” for my own kids if they are led to the Quiverfull conviction.

Thank you for being open to sharing your lives so I can learn and my kids (now young adults & older teens) can have encouragement, too.

    [From Spud, the Heppner father]:

My favorite part is watching Miriam’s feet when we are in the hammock. She is a blessing to me.
I admire her, and all the good you see in our family is because of her obedience to God.

I just loved watching the Heppner family. Along with the Duggar’s, the Heppner’s are an amazing family and are also very inspiring to alot of moms (me included). When if feel like the walls of my house are closing in with my 3 boys, I think about these incredable families.
P.S. I watched Miriam’s feet too. HE HE HE
    GOD bless you all!!!

I LOVE the Heppner’s show! Jeub’s you were great, but I must admit the Heppner’s were my favorite in the whole series. I love seeing her pantry and garden! I loved seeing the relationship of the parents now and then, but especially now – you can see they have a lot of love for each other!
The children are so sweet, and it’s neat to see the older ones interacting with the younger ones. It was just wonderful, I recorded and will definitely watch it again!

  • Marcy

I was going to say the same thing Michelle said. Almost word for word. So i will just add it was very hard to pick just one thing on the poll . I loved all of it. Thanks to all the families that let TLC into their homes for us to watch at home!!!

I LOVED the show..very inspirational! I was amused that Miriams feet were very clean and didn’t have calloused heels! :o)

We loved the whole show, but especially the hammock scenes. Your openness and obvious love for each other was a treat to see.

  • Lynne

What a wonderful show! Of course my favorite parts were singing praise to the Lord around the campfire and the references to God, along with the love shown to each others throughout the entire family. I have not had the priveledge to see the Jeub Family. Will that be airing again? I contacted the TLC channel to tell them we need more family programming like these shows. I am looking forward to viewing the Arndt family next week. Thank you for letting us know the schedules in advance. My life has been blessed by knowing about these families.

I just LOVED the Heppner family! I think that the Jeub and Heppner families are awesome for letting us into their personal lives! God Bless!

The comments I’ve heard/read were about how REAL these three families in the Kids By The Dozen series came across, especially the Heppners (and the Jeubs, too). Nothing against the Duggars (and I know they weren’t officially part of the Dozen series), but they seem a little unreal. We liked seeing the home-lives and day-to-day real-life activities of those in the Dozen series. Specifically regarding Spud & Miriam — their honesty about their marital struggles, and family life. Sometimes “quiverfull” folks come across like everything is — and always has been — dreamy-wonderful. Thanks Spud & Miriam for being HONEST and open about it all. You have done an awesome job and are a great witness for our Lord.

Chris & Wendy — Our #7 is on the way!! :)

I really liked how my in-laws came across: as one of the most loving families I have ever seen. They really show Jesus’s love, and there’s a lot of people who need to see that.

  • Michele

The hammock scenes were my favorite too! :) That is a love that is real and isn’t just for TV, ya know? Ups and down and still sitting there together, it was beyond sweet.
I loved this series, I wish TLC would do more of these. :)
    God Bless,
    Michele

I loved the shows. As far as the Heppeners show went I loved the story about how their marriage has grown over time. I love their story because it seems a story of triumph. Triumph over the hard times in life through giving our lives to God. Triumph over the world’s ways of doing things. I also love the way the Lord convinced them to give their fertility to Him! I had a smile about that. I also loved hearing about the way they cut corners and make ends meet. I would love to see more of these shows on TV. Maybe even a followup on the Jeubs and the Heppeners! God Bless, Melissa

I really love their marital commitment. Their children were so lovely & full of love which reflects greatly on their parents love for God. The family working together was beautifully captured. It was real!! Quite simplistic in ways but definitely full of hard work, diligence & first if all, love. I really thought it was precious the way the parents spent time with each one compassionately. I love Father’s tenderness for his family. The gentleness was so unconditional. Their marriage is very strong & marriage is a forgiving venture with unlimited dividends. It is a daily commitment. One they rose up to meet with God’s refining fire. This family is a great testimony to all of us!!

The Jeubs & Heppeners are inspiring!! Thank you for your testimonies!! In Christ’s Love, Tina
