The Year at the Jeubs

It has been quite a while since any of the Jeubs have posted on the website. We have been incredibly busy with so many things. Our last post was August 22 when Lydia finished her second movie on Joshua. Shortly afterward, I left with Cynthia and Lydia to Oregon to kick off our 5-state Debate Camp Tour for Training Minds Ministry. While it was fun, it was the busiest time of our year.

September is a reflective time for the Jeubs. Immediately following the Colorado Debate Camp, I packed my family up in our van and shot out to Wisconsin and Minnesota for vacation. We had a wonderful time with both Wendy and my side of the family. The trip was only 11 days–much to short–and we are already planning another trip out there next year.

Ever since our experience one year ago with The Learning Channel, God has worked in our lives in a remarkable way. As our book, Love in the House, reflects on love being the center of our family life, this trip out east was the most enjoyable time with our family than ever before. We visited family with a whole new perspective. In the past, our hearts would be riddled with judgment on our extended family’s life choices and habits. This time around, we sought honest conversation and the sharing of one another’s lives. Free from the dysfunctional ambition to judge, we simply loved.

When we returned, we immediately started preparation for the year’s Birthday Bash, which we celebrated last Saturday. The entire family joined us, Alicia and Alissa too. It was much more relaxing knowing that a camera crew from New York was not coming! The party was relatively small, too, the smallest Bash since 2001 (only 85 people). It was a fun time! We got to enjoy one another’s company and visit with some depth.

Now that October is on its way, we dig deeper into school and work. I will begin bringing several of the kids into my office twice a week for lessons, and Wendy is already along with a geography unit study. Our weekly schedule is packed with activities and we look forward to a great year.

What cute pics of the kids! How is Wendy feeling? I think I read somewhere on your website that she is due in November. Fall and Winter are such nice times of the year. Great weather and holidays. Here on the East coast we are in Indian Summer ugh Can’t wait for the cold weather. I always look forward to the updates. Any info on another TLC special? They are fun to watch but I am sure stressful for the house hold. Best of Luck Jeubs!

Your kid’s are so cute!! Been looking for an update. How is Wendy feeling? Do you have a place on here that tells about you and her? Where are you from? How did you meet? Would love to hear more about you guys.

How your kids have grown! Especially the oldest girls(pictured). It sounds as if you had a great vacation, and I am so glad for all of you. Yes, it can be hard to visit family, I understand. Many prayers for you and your family!! I hope to see a new special soon. And please post on Wendy’s “progress” on the newest Jeub!
    In Christ,

    where’s our pictures?

    ——–

I lost them on the camera somehow. Sorry! I have Alissas, but not yours and Isaak’s. It is a new camera and somehow they got lost in transfer. I’m not sure how it happened.

  • Kristi Tripp

So glad to see an update and some pictures! I wish I could see Alissa’s, Alicia’s and Isaak’s too. :-( Give Wendy a big hug (and a cup of coffee) for me!

  • Christine

Before I buy your book can you please tell me if you are Mormon? Jehovah Witness?

  • http://www.jeubfamily.com Wendy Jeub

Christine!? Please read through our web-site, the About Us page and such. I don’t know a whole lot about Mormon or JW but, we are probably more toward Southern Baptist, Chris used to work at Focus on The Family!! The foreword of our book was written by John Fuller, who is Dr. James Dobson’s co-host.

Alicia – Isaak and Alissa all had their pictures taken but they were not in the same group in the early morning so they will have to be posted later, also, some were lost and need to be retaken. Hint – come early next time.

  • Kelly

Aww. Your children look so cute! If you don’t mind me asking…what are you going to name your 14th child? Is it a boy or a girl?

  • http://www.jeubfamily.com Wendy Jeub

Hi Kelly, Nope. I am old-fashioned that way and I don’t find out about a girl or a boy and we don’t tell anyone the names until Chris and I get them named after they are born and have a good look at the precious, new, little bundle, of joy.

  • Kelly

My mom wanted to be surprised and didn’t name me until after I was born too. I was also born three months early as well.

  • Theresa Taylor

Oh my gosh!! Its been what “years” I think the last time I saw you was in what, 7th grade I think. Do you remember me? One of the girls we went to school with came to me at work and was like “Did you see Wendy on tv?” I was like “what are you talking about?”. She said you and your family were on TLC and you have 13 kids with one on the way…I was in shock!! I have 3 kids myself but couldn’t imagine 13 +…. write me back it would be so cool to hear from you. And yes, still in good ol’ Pine City!!!
