Homemade Yogurt

I have a new video posted on YouTube. The recipe isn’t as involved as you might think. While it takes a little more effort than most of my recipes, it is definitely worth it!

We’re gathering quite a few recipes on our YouTube Channel. We now have five solid recipes that we hope blesses families like yours. They’ve been fun to make, but even more fun to see spread through the Internet world.

Could you help spread the news of our YouTube channel? Copy and paste this link into an email to your friends: http://www.youtube.com/jeubfamily. Post it on your Facebook page. And subscribe to our YouTube Channel. Whenever a new video pops up, you’ll be notified.

Yum….Looks great and fun to make…. We go through yogurt like it’s water. So my kids will fully enjoy a big pot of it. After you take it off the heating pad, when it’s ready to eat can you chill it in the fridge? How long does it Stay good until?

    • Mom23456

Yes, You actually should chill it in the fridge over night before you eat it. It thickens it. It stays good in the fridge for about 2-3 weeks. You can also freeze your batch for 2-3 months. I like to always freeze and save a few table spoons from each batch, so I can use them for the next batch, that way I don’t have to buy yogurt each time I want to make yogurt. The live cultures live through the freezing process

I wish that you would write out your recipes, as well as putting them on youtube. We are on a limited download internet (only thing available to us out in the boonies) and cant do much youtube (some months none, lol). I know a lot of people in the same situation.

Yep, I make a gallon or 2 every week – and save at least $10 for 15 minutes of my time and 2 hours in the yogurt machine.

Yes, my wife and I eat a lot of yogurt!

wonderful timing! I was just thinking yesterday about how it’s been a long time since I made homemade yougurt and that I should look for a good recipe to make it again. Thanks!!

Do you guys ever make your own ice cream? we now have a machine, but we have made it before and still do sometimes – (with mixed results – it’s not always “ice cream” but it’s normally a nice dessert :) ).

I like yoghurt and ice cream homemade because you can add so much more flavour then many store brands (though I do have a weakness for Ben and Jerrys)

making it right now – we will see how turns out!!! We used your recipe w/ our crockpot instead – couldn’t find the heating pad ;)! We have high hope for this one though – the last recipe – had no sugar & I think that the powdered milk should thicken it up a bit! ๐Ÿ˜€

I second the written recipe request…I’m hearing impaired and always do better when I’m able to see what’s been said, in text.

I love the TRON music playing in the background during that last little snippet with the blender!
