When you have decided to make the commitment to a new diet and exercise for life, get your camera ready.
I know, who wants pictures when you are fed up with your body image? If you can bring yourself to get a few pictures every week (and you don’t look at them too often) you will build a record of how far you have come. You may cringe at the photos now, but months from now after making good choices you will be able to see the difference. You’ll appreciate the pictures.
Pictures are the boost you need through those low times, those times when you feel you can’t do it any longer. Having a visual picture can help to spur you on. Sure, right now you don’t want that camera anywhere near you, but after a few months it may be just what you need to keep you going.
One more point. The pictures remind you that you are on a roll. I’m currently struggling to lose that last 5 pounds to where I really want to be. They’re tough pounds to lose, but I have pictures to remind me that I can get there.
