We’re Persuaded by Paul Ryan

You can see Wendy and me in the background, up front at last night’s rally in Colorado.

This picture was taken last night by our friend, Heidi Mittelberg, who was sitting in the bleachers behind Paul Ryan. There was a ton of excitement in the air last night in Castle Rock, Colorado. We got to meet Paul backstage and had a great time, what an evening!

I posted three reasons I’m voting for Mitt Romney tomorrow: please read my article “3 Reasons I’m With Mitt” at ChrisJeub.com. In summary, while I’m a bit smitten by my old gradeschool friend Paul Ryan on the ticket, I’m totally convinced that Mitt Romney should be the next President of the United States.

And we’d like to think we’re not push overs. You read this blog. You know that Wendy and I are bulldogs toward public sentiment. We have 16 kids for crying out loud. We’re debaters and entrepreneurs and free-thinkers. And when it all shakes out, we’re more excited for a Mitt Romney presidency than any election in our lifetime.

Do you agree? Wendy and I would love to hear from you. Comment below and we can discuss this. Your vote tomorrow matters, and I sure hope you vote for the right person.

I completely agree! I think that too many people expect the government to take care of them so I am not sure we will ever be able to elect a good Repulican president again but I sure hope I am wrong.

Perhaps you should take a look at the damage the storm has done to the NY Metropolitan Area and you might reconsider your position on government. 175 Blocks long, 4 blocks wide, EVERY HOUSE on EVERY BLOCK- major flood damage. Every walk of life from the wealthy to the poorest have been affected, and it is the GOVERNMENT at the STATE and FEDERAL LEVELS as well as 1000’s of volunteers, with and without religious affiliation, that are helping MILLIONS of people in my area. The people who I know that have been affected by this tragedy of epic proportion, many in the past have have donated thousands of dollars to assist others, CEO’s, NY Fireman, Policemen, Housekeepers, Television executives, Presidents of Banking institutions, and a family that prior to this event were on food stamps because the husband lost his job while fighting pancreatic cancer. The family that I am related to in this devastated area, are the most generous family you can dream of, After a day of clearing out the contents of what remained of their home, the red cross truck drove by what is left of his block and offered a FREE hot meal we all accepted, he turned and looked at me, and said ” I never in a lifetime thought it would be me” Except these people as you call them are homeowners, as well as renters, people from every walk of life, this is a tragedy of EPIC PROPORTIONS, this is just one neighborhood, there are literally millions of people who will need assistance. What I can tell you about society is we come from a society where if you need a hand, and now there are millions more people that do, how incredible it is to know that there are hands to help you pull the debris from your home, hands to help with a hot meal, hands at the FEMA trucks to help you get low interest loans from the GOVERNMENT, to assist you to rebuild your life, hands from inland neighborhoods who stopped their lives to come to the aid of other, wake up
Ignorance now that should be a crime..

Yes I agree ! And I pray he wins or heaven help us.

My vote goes to Obama. After watching the debates and reading all the info and facts. My family and I feel he is the better man.

I am so scared of what our society has become! Too many people think the government is here to take care of us and provide for us and that is so incredibly scary. 4 more years of what we have will destroy all that our forefathers worked so diligently to create. Its like listening to the story of the cricket and the ant… except… well, half the country has become lazy dancing crickets.

    • JDK

Really? Four more years of Obama will destroy the constitution, the judiciary, the Congress and the Legislature?

I debated whether or not I should even respond to this as its certainly clear that I was referring to the entitlement mentality that holds close to half this nation in it’s grip. Think outside the state of emergency lines here. We are talking about the everyday man and woman- not NY and NJ who was just hit by a hurricane. We are talking about the difference between the hardworking man, and the entitled lazy cricket who demands to be cared for by a government.

I thought twice, too. It is very common for pro-government people to use extreme examples for its extreme solutions. In reality, the extremes are rare, but the bureaucracy exists dictating its use.

      • gsell44

Thank you. I could not have said it better.

    • http://www.chrisjeub.com/ Chris Jeub

I agree with you, Heather. Good analogy. And then when disaster strikes, big government – though inept and self-serving – is seen as a savior.

      • margie

Inept and self serving? Actually in the mist of the disaster a source of comfort/actual support- providing necessities as basic as water and food to a community..A humanitarian effort- just like your health ministry provided for you and your family in your time of need. You reached out for assistance while faith based, wrote about how valuable that was to you, and would deny these services to others because they are not faith based?

my oldest 2 kids got to shake hands with Romney today at the rally in Orlando (they are there with Generation Joshua). I am hopeful, but still a little scared, that Romney and Ryan will win tomorrow.

    Hi Chris,
Just woken up to the news that that President Obama has a second term. I am so disappointed for you. It was an opportunity for real change for the better.
I live in the UK as you know and our society has been devastated by the same type of entitlement attitude that Obama promotes.
We have people who actually want to come here for a free life.
Most people are liberal thinkers, pro-abortion, pro-same sex marriage and basically anti- God. My son was even told to remove any mention of Jesus on a Christmas card he was designing at school!
I pray that all my Republican friends hold fast to the truth and their values.
    God bless and HELP America!!!

Thanks Sheila. I sure appreciate your post. Keep the faith. There is still life and hope, though it will be a more difficult road.

On your knees for Jesus and the only thing on your face is egg.
    omnomnom.

Entitlement nation? LOL WUT? Some of us believe that everyone, especially those of us living in the “greatest nation on earth”, are entitled to a certain standard of living. That standard of living means being able to feed yourself and not losing your home to the bank because because your wife gets cancer. But no, Jesus totally would have been in favor of bootstrapping your way out of a stage 4 carcinoma by bankrupting yourself and leaving you homeless. Totally. Fer sure. If Jesus hated anyone, it was poor people who needed assistance.

And here’s a realty check; whatever sort of “self made man” you fancy yourself wouldn’t have been possible without the BIG BAD GOVERNMENT. I can list the DOZENS of ways the big ol’ federal of government helps you and those 16 crotch twinkies of yours but it’s 3 AM and I’m too excited over the current 303 electoral votes to bother (though I will continue if you ask in the later half of the day).

tl;dr: The level of cognitive dissonance you people experience is absolutely outstanding.

The real character of the democratic party rises to the surface when they barely cheat through a victory. Enjoy your party.

  • Kim

Oh and PS, out of all out those kids of yours one of them will almost certainly be LGBT. Just based purely on numbers. They probably won’t tell you, what with you being a bigoted hate monger, but at least one of them will be and they’ll silently hate you and/or themselves. Just think about that. And this: AstEjKGCMAAvkv9.jpg

    • http://www.chrisjeub.com/ Chris Jeub

What a lovely representative you are of all things good and pure in the Democratic party. I feel the love.

    • Sheila (UK)

Being gay is a choice, it’s nothing to do with numbers. Maybe you should stay silent.

    • http://www.chrisjeub.com/ Chris Jeub

And your email (probably fake) is stupidpolach@gmail.com. Gee, that has no hate in it at all.
