Christmas is just 10 days away! We’ve received several Christmas letters already, convicting us to get rolling on ours. We’ll post ours next week, but we want to explain what we do with yours when we receive them, hopefully encouraging you to send us yours!
1. Pre-Christmas: We Hang Your Letter
When we receive your letter in the mail or by email, we tape them along the woodwork in our dining room, living room, entryway and kitchen. Family pictures sprawl our home, a real sight for the holidays. It’s almost like walking through a museum looking at all the pictures hanging throughout our home.
2. Post-Christmas: We Read Your Letter
But we don’t read them right away. (Well, some of them we can’t help but read.) After Christmas, we take 3-5 down every morning at breakfast and read them aloud. We talk about the family and pass the pictures they send around the table. Some are old friends, some new, some we’ve not met in person but share the same values. It usually takes all January to read the letters.
3. All Year Long: Our Christmas Fridge
Here’s what we came up with last year: taping the pictures on our refrigerator. This works out perfectly! We have an old-but-true refrigerator that we cut-n-tape family photos up and down the front. All year long we keep the photos taped to the front of our refrigerator, and we love how that adds light to our kitchen.
That’s what we do every year with your Christmas letter. Can you include us on your list? Either email email@example.com, or mail to:

We hope to receive your letter. God bless your Christmas season!
