My, my. Isn’t it interesting how media glamorizes nonconformity? You’d think nonconformists would be more appreciated. Like a lot of families who visit this site.
Before we get on a high horse and condemn Christians for thinking like the disciples, let’s get down to earth. We all tend to resemble the disciples at times. Doesn’t every parent? We get short with the children, testy, annoyed. That’s not how Jesus viewed children.
You know where we’re coming from. We love children. They’re blessings. Always. We’re often misunderstood. Some of the misunderstandings are commonplace and understandable, others outrageous. We got a doozy not too long ago.
Yesterday, we listed four common doubts most couples experience when considering another child, but we purposely left out one. It’s actually the most important of the list of five. Not sure if you tried to guess, but some of you did.
“On our hearts during those years was a simple prodding: have another child. It wasn’t ‘have 15 children’ or ‘have more children than anyone else.’ Just ANOTHER.”
Looking back at our life, we are so thankful to God that He gave us these six young men and two little girls. Even with all the work and medical complication.
